Locust trees. If you've got them on your property, you already know the headache. They spread fast, grow thick, and that thorny undergrowth they leave behind is a nightmare - for livestock, for fencing, and for anyone trying to work the land. This was one of those situations.
Here's what we were working with - a heavily overgrown area with mature locust trees, dense brush piled up at the base, and dead woody material choking out any usable ground. The kind of mess that builds up over years and just gets worse every season you leave it alone.
We got in there and cleared it out completely. The brush and debris came down, the root zones got cleaned up, and what was left behind was open, workable ground. You can see the difference - ground that was buried under years of growth is now accessible and clean. The wood debris was piled and staged for disposal, leaving the area clear and ready for whatever comes next.
This is the kind of work that looks simple but really isn't. Locust trees specifically are tough - dense wood, thorns, and a root system that doesn't give up easy. Knowing how to tackle them efficiently without tearing up the surrounding area takes experience. Our forestry mulching and pasture clearing process is built for exactly this.
If you've got locust trees, cedars, or any kind of overgrown mess taking over your land, this is what we do. Acreage that's been written off as unusable has a way of coming back to life once the right equipment and the right crew get after it.
